Board of Bar Examiners of the Supreme Court of Delaware

The Board of Bar Examiners has extended the April 1st filing deadline until Monday, April 15th.  This means that the reduced fee of $700 or $800 will be in effect until 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15th. 

The May 15th deadline will remain in effect as the final deadline with the associated fees as outlined Board Rule 5.  No applications will be accepted after May 15th.

To use ExamSoft for the 2013 Bar Exam you must sign up at examsoft.com/debar between April 1st and June 1st. The signup period will end on June 1st at midnight. No late exceptions are made.

Recent Board Rule Amendments - June 2010

The Delaware Bar Examination will consist of the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), two Multistate Performance Tests (MPT) and eight essay questions on such subjects as listed in Board Rule 12. In addition the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) is required (see Board Rule 8 for time restriction). For more information on these tests, please refer to the National Conference of Bar Examiners.

The results from the July 2012 Bar Examination have been released.  Individual results have been posted to the electronic applications of all 2012 bar applicants.  They will not be sent in the mail and results will not be given out over the telephone.

The Admission Ceremony for applicants who pass the 2012 Bar Examination will be on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.  The ceremony will be held at the Schwartz Center for the Arts, 226 S. State Street in Dover.

All passing applicants are required to attend the two day mandatory Pre-Admission Conference. The conference will be held on Thursday and Friday, November 1 and 2, 2012 at Widener University School of Law.  Attendance is mandatory even for applicants not being admitted on December 12, 2012.
